Bonnaroo's 2017 lineup has been officially announced — and it's every bit as star-studded as fans of the festival could expect, with headlining sets confirmed from U2, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and the Weeknd.

As previously reported, U2 had already announced its Bonnaroo appearance, which comes in the midst of a 30th anniversary Joshua Tree tour that will see the band performing their massively popular 1987 LP in its entirety. The Chili Peppers, meanwhile, will travel to Tennessee while in the midst of the North American leg of their Getaway Tour, which marked its first date in San Antonio on Jan. 5.

The Weeknd's third studio LP, Starboy, topped the charts in multiple countries around the world upon its release last November; along with the aforementioned acts, he helps lead off a crowded bill of established and up-and-coming artists that includes Lorde, the xx, Tegan and Sara, Crystal Castles, Umphrey’s McGee, Michael Kiwanuka, Cold War Kids, and many others. Visit the official Bonnaroo site for a complete list of the dozens of artists in this year's lineup.

Since its inaugural year in 2002, Bonnaroo has grown into one of the preeminent summer music festivals in the U.S. The 2017 edition is scheduled to begin June 8 and run through June 11, once again taking place at the festival's traditional home in Manchester, Tenn. Tickets are already on sale through the Bonnaroo website, with the cheaper tiers already sold out; currently, a four-day general admission pass starts at $324.50 before fees.
