Ed Sheeran Gets a Goat Tattoo
So, what did you do last weekend? Anything fun or interesting? Singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran sure did. As he put it to his Twitter followers on Sunday: "Just got a tattoo of a goat."
Sheeran, whose breakthrough hit 'The A Team' helped lead to his recent stint opening for Snow Patrol on the band's latest run of American tour dates, was in the news last week when he announced he'd be missing the last four dates of the tour for "personal reasons," but promised he'd be back for some headlining dates in the summer and fall.
As for his new body art? Sheeran says he went with the goat for "sentimental reasons," and seems to have laughed off suggestions that "you lit bruh" and "you'll wake up in morning and regret this sooooooooo bad," although he did take issue with one fan who said Sheeran is "like the new Lil Wayne tatted from head to toe."
"They take up around 2% of my body," insisted Sheeran on Twitter. "I'm far from being sleeved up."
Sheeran's full-length studio debut, 2011's '+,' has been an unqualified success in his native U.K., topping the charts and spawning five singles on its way to triple-platinum certification. The album is due for stateside release on June 12; in the meantime, we have this picture of his goat tattoo to gaze upon.
