Ellie Goulding has lined up an Oct. 9 release date for her much-anticipated sophomore album, which will be titled 'Halcyon.' The follow-up to her 2010 debut, 'Lights,' will be preceded by the first single, 'Anything Could Happen,' with its video set to premiere on VEVO on Aug. 13. That will be followed by the release of the single via all digital retailers on Aug. 21.

All tracks on the album were written and co-produced by Goulding and most were recorded in a converted barn in her hometown of Hay Valley, England with producer Jim Elliot running the boards. Fans got a taste of the new material earlier this month when Goulding posted a free download of a new track 'Hanging On' featuring Tinie Tempah. Check out that tune's video below.

Goulding, who is also known for dating Skrillex, says the superstar dubstep DJ's music likely has had an impact on her own new tunes and vice versa -- whether they realize it or not.  "I play him my new stuff he plays me his new stuff, and it probably has influenced me subconsciously," she tells Time. "And maybe my stuff has influenced him subconsciously. I don’t know. But he’s a very talented producer. He’s really good at what he does."

So are you, Ellie. So are you.
