After announcing that they’d be returning to the stage following several months way -- and a publicist confirming that the band is working on a new album -- Fidlar have taken another step further into the limelight. This time, it’s with a psyched-out cover of Sheryl Crow’s 1996 hit, ‘If It Makes You Happy.’

As you might imagine, the L.A. outfit turns the song on its head, serving up washed-out verses and choruses that erupt in screams. Paired with Crow’s original video for the tune, the result is downright spooky – but now that we think of it, the original video was kind of weird to begin with. Listen to FIDLAR’s rendition above -- and for context, check out the original version below:

The new album Fidlar are working on will follow their 2013 self-titled debut. And from what we understand, the band put this cover song together just for fun; unfortunately, don't expect to hear it on the new record.
