Florence + the Machine and electronic DJ Calvin Harris typically aren't in the same musical universe, but Harris says he and singer Florence Welch have teamed up for a new single.

Harris told Q Magazine (as reported by Digital Spy) that the two got together on a track called 'Sweet Nothings.' We can't wait to hear what a combination of Florence's majestic pop sound and Harris' explosive electro style might sound like.

'Sweet Nothings' is expected to be released as a single and likely will appear on Harris' next album. Even though he has scored recent hits like 'Feel So Close' and 'Let's Go' (with R&B singer Ne-Yo), Harris hasn't put out a new album since 2009. But he has been a major player in dance music for years and finally broke through to the mainstream with 'We Found Love,' the Rihanna song he wrote and produced.

Harris and Welch also teamed up for a different project recently, when he remixed the Florence + the Machine track 'Spectrum,' a No. 1 hit in the U.K. And maybe it's a long shot, but with Harris and Florence both on the bill for this weekend's Lollapalooza festival in Chicago, perhaps there's a chance fans will get to hear 'Sweet Nothings' live for the first time.
