Frank Ocean posted a song written for, but not used in, the new Quentin Tarantino movie 'Django Unchained' on Tumblr last night. And like many of the songs on his excellent debut album, the cut -- titled 'Wiseman' -- is a slow-building, moody ballad.

Ocean -- whose album 'Channel Orange' is ending up on tons of year-end best-of lists, including ours -- posted 'Wiseman' with a bit of commentary. "Django was ill without it," he wrote. He also included a post with the song's lyrics.

Tarantino commented on the song late last month, when he was making the promotional rounds for 'Django Unchained.' "Frank Ocean wrote a fantastic ballad that was truly lovely and poetic in every way, there just wasn’t a scene for it," he said. "I could have thrown it in quickly just to have it, but that’s not why he wrote it and not his intention. So I didn’t want to cheapen his effort. But, the song is fantastic, and when Frank decides to unleash it on the public, they’ll realize it then."

There's no telling where 'Wiseman' may eventually end up, since Ocean hinted in an interview a couple of weeks ago that 'Channel Orange' may be his last album. So go ahead and give a listen to Ocean's early Christmas gift.
