A lengthy trailer for Season 2 of HBO's 'Game of Thrones' features a song with a powerful female voice and a grandiose pop sound that matches the epic cinematic quality of the medieval fantasy drama.

The song is Florence + the Machine's 'Seven Devils,' a track from the group's acclaimed recent album, 'Ceremonials.' For nearly two minutes, the trailer uses the song to promote its upcoming season, which begins on HBO on April 1.

Just as a character muses, "Sometimes I wonder if this is the price for what we've done, for our sins," Florence Welch is heard singing the somewhat macabre lyrics, "Seven devils all around me / Seven devils in my house / See they were there when I woke up this morning / I'll be dead before the day is done." The footage shows warriors traversing icy landscapes, gladiators engaging in swordfights, and lots of fiery wreckage. For fans of the show, there's a lot to get excited about.

The new season of ‘Game of Thrones’ is based around George R.R. Martin’s 'A Clash of Kings,’ which describes the action as rival groups try to take over the throne previously held by King Robert Baratheon. 'Clash of Kings' was the second book in Martin's 'A Song of Ice and Fire' fantasy series.
