Lana Del Rey recently recorded Kasabian's 'Goodnight Kiss' for BBC Radio 1's Live Lounge program. It didn't take long for the band's guitarist, Serge Pizzorno, who wrote the song, to heap praise upon her version.

Del Rey recorded the song as a "thank you" to Kasabian for recording her hit, 'Video Games' for the same show back in October. After hearing their cover, Del Rey began listening to Kasabian's music.

"I'm really proud," Pizzorno told NME. "Obviously we covered one of hers ... so it was quite a sweet thing to do back. It's a really nice gesture. It's proper old school." Pizzorno also said it sounds "f---ing beautiful."

'Goodbye Kiss' was the third single off Kasabian's 2011 album, 'Velociraptor!' It was released as a single in both the United Kingdom and Belgium, where it has become a Top 20 hit. Although all four of Kasabian's albums have reached the Top Five, with the last three hitting No. 1, their music has yet to make a dent in the United States. Their 2004 self-titled debut is their highest-charting album, reaching No. 94 on the Billboard 200.
