Kendrick Lamar Debuts Wild New Song ‘Untitled 2’ on ‘Fallon’
Kendrick Lamar isn’t resting on his laurels after making one of the most critically lauded albums of 2015. During his appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last night (Jan. 7), the Compton rapper opened the new year with a brand-new song.
Lamar unveiled “Untitled 2” on the Fallon stage much in the same way he debuted “Untitled” on The Colbert Report back in 2014. Watch the performance in the video at the top, and make sure to stick around to the very end when Lamar’s verses go haywire as he threatens, “I could put a rapper on life support.”
Lamar also sat down for a conversation with Fallon, discussing everything from his 11 Grammy nominations (a figure that almost rivals Michael Jackson’s record, Fallon points out), his choice of samples on To Pimp a Butterfly and Sega and Nintendo video games. Watch those clips at the bottom of the page.
Next up, Lamar will perform an entire episode of Austin City Limits tomorrow (Jan. 9).
