This year marks the 10th anniversary of Sam’s Town, the second album by the Killers. To honor it, the group are releasing a limited edition version of it on vinyl and throwing a couple of benefit concerts at the Las Vegas casino for which the record is named.

In addition to the record being released on two 180-gram LPs, there is also a 7” single featuring two previously unreleased tracks, a demo they recorded of a song called “Piece of Mind” and a remix called "Read My Mind (Pet Shop Boys Stars are Blazing Mix)." Only 5,016 sequentially numbered copies will be pressed, and will be housed in a package that contains a coffee-table book about the record.

On Sept. 30 and Oct. 1, the Killers will host what they’re calling the “Sam's Town Decennial Extravaganza,” which includes two shows at Sam's Town Hotel and Gambling Hall in Las Vegas and a tour of spots in their hometown of particular importance to the band’s history. All profits from the concerts will go to local charities for the homeless and addiction recovery.

Tickets for the extravaganza will go on sale on Aug. 5 at 10AM Pacific, with a pre-sale for members of the group’s fan club on Aug. 3 at 10AM Pacific. Fans coming from out of town can purchase travel packages, with a VIP package that offers a two-song concert before the full show. For complete information, visit CID Entertainment’s website.

There is no official release date for the album yet, with a press release only saying that it is arriving in the fall. You can pre-order the 10th anniversary edition of Sam’s Town over at their label, Bong Load Records.
