Kurt Vile Announces New Album, ‘b’lieve i’m goin down'

Kurt Vile has already told fans they can likely expect his next album -- a follow-up to his critically acclaimed 2013 effort, Wakin on a Pretty Daze -- this fall. Now, we have learned that the title of the forthcoming album is b’lieve i’m goin down. Check out behind-the-scenes footage of the LP’s making in the video up above.

Other than the title and a tentative time frame for its release, Vile has offered little in terms of details regarding his upcoming album. He has, however, described b’lieve i'm goin down as having a “night vibe” and melancholic in “the way the music just sprawls.” He also previously said he’s written his “best song ever” for his sixth full-length.

In addition to the album’s title, Vile has announced a string of North American and European tour dates, which will kick off in Boston on Oct. 2. From there, he’ll make appearances at a few music festivals, including Austin City Limits, Pitchfork Festival in Paris and London Calling. The U.S. run of dates will conclude on Oct. 24 in Detroit. For the tour, Vile will be joined by Waxahatchee, Luke Roberts, Cass McCombs and Heron Obvlivion. You can find more details below:
