Nick Cave’s Teenage Son Dies in Accident Near Brighton
While details are still being released, Diffuser has learned the heartbreaking news that the body of Nick Cave’s teenage son, Arthur, was found last night (July 14) on the underpass of the Ovingdean Gap near Brighton. He suffered life-threatening injuries after falling from a cliff; he was 15 years old.
Arthur was found around 6PM Tuesday night and was taken to Brighton’s Royal Sussex County Hospital, according to the BBC. “His death is not being treated as suspicious, and the coroner is investigating,” the news service reports.
In a statement released by Nick and Susie Cave, the parents said, “Our son Arthur died on Tuesday evening. He was our beautiful, happy loving boy. We ask that we be given the privacy our family needs to grieve at this difficult time.”
