Passion Pit will head out on the road later this year for a short run of October tour dates.

Five shows have currently been announced in all, starting with an Oct. 8 performance at this year's All Things Go festival, followed by a stop in Richmond, a pair of shows in Georgia, and an Oct. 13 performance in Tampa. Detailed ticketing information for all shows can be found at Passion Pit's official site.

The band, which celebrates its 10th anniversary next year, has been performing in support of 2015's Kindred LP while working toward an as-yet untitled and unscheduled new release. Frontman Michael Angelakos started hinting at a new record in early 2016, and the group's Twitter account recently informed fans they were "in studio," adding, "not on here a lot. stuff is happening. love u all (repressings coming they'll be announced when we are ready)."

Kindred, released in April 2015, peaked at No. 23 on the U.S. Billboard charts while delivering the group a Top 40 alternative single in leadoff track "Lifted Up (1985)." Angelakos made headlines later that year when he publicly came out as gay, speaking about his personal journey during an appearance on author Bret Easton Ellis' podcast and later thanking fans for their "kind and supportive messages" following the episode's posting.
