Let's just get this out of the way right now: there's a good chance Pip won't be coming back next week. That said, he turned in a pretty stellar performance of the Killers hit 'When You Were Young' on Monday's edition of 'The Voice.' He did his best impression of Brandon Flowers, he got into it, he had some moves, and it sounded good. But, as our friends at Popcrush so eloquently pointed out: "At the end of the day, even the judges agree that he’s still a kid named Pip with a bowtie addiction and raging dimples."

That may not mean much to 'The Voice' newbies, but to the seasoned viewer it clearly points out the shortcomings of the contestant that goes by a one-word name that rhymes with "dip." Pip definitely has pipes and can move across the floor, and he doesn't lack confidence. But is he the total package? Rocking tight red pants and a leather jacket, he definitely tried his best to step outside his zone. Did it work?

Coach  Christina Aguilera went out of her way to say she “appreciates” his vocals, yet countered by saying that he was trying too hard. Even his own coach, Adam Levine, said that Pip's performance was too safe. If there's one thing we know, it's that safe and rock 'n' roll don't match. That said, it's not up to Levine or any of the other coaches -- at this point, this vote is in America's hands. Will Pip live another day? Tune in tomorrow to find out!
