While fans of the NBC drama, 'Parenthood,' gathered around their TVs last night (Jan. 29) to see the series finale, they got a little surprise when Rhiannon Giddens and Iron & Wine appeared to cover Bob Dylan's 1974 song, 'Forever Young.' Check it out above.

As part of the show's final scene, the Carolina Chocolate Drops singer -- who is no stranger to Dylan songs -- and 'Ghost on Ghost' artist, also known as Sam Beam, were in the Luncheonette recording studio (naturally) playing their rendition of the classic tune while Crosby Braverman, played by Dax Shepherd, mans the controls as producer of the track.

As the soundtrack for the end of the series, the duet brings new life to the song. With a slower tempo and minimal instrumentation, Giddens and Beam's vocal harmonies shine and add a tenderness that will quickly warm your heart -- or even lead you to shed a tear.

The two artists were more than happy to have their song be part of the episode and shared their feelings on Twitter:

Their version of the 'Forever Young' is available on iTunes now.
