Watch Rhiannon Giddens Perform ‘Waterboy’ on ‘Letterman’

It’s always fun to watch for David Letterman’s reactions to his musical guest performances, but after Rhiannon Giddens’ visit last night (Feb. 11), the ‘Late Show’ host seemed to be at a loss for words -- and we can understand why.

“Oh my god, that was unbelievable,” he said after Giddens closed out a strikingly powerful rendition of ‘Waterboy,’ a track from her debut solo album, ‘Tomorrow Is My Turn.’ Just as Letterman indicates, the Carolina Chocolate Drops frontwoman manages to hold some truly unbelievable notes.
