Releasing a new album might be enough to completely consume some musicians' time, but not Ryan Adams. Besides the new self-titled LP hitting store shelves tomorrow (Sept. 9), Adams is playing a record release show tonight at Washington, D.C.'s legendary 9:30 Club. He also just announced that he will be performing on 'The Late Show with David Letterman' on Sept. 11.

In addition to his already busy schedule, today Adams shared a bizarre and hilarious infomercial promoting his new disc. Featuring the likes of Gary Shandling, Jeff Garlin and Bob Mould, the informercial is a warning of sorts: don't listen to Adams' record if you have a parakeet. As Don Was eloquently states at the end of the video, "The new self-titled Ryan Adams album ... It's not for the birds."

Adams also unveiled a few additional dates to his fall tour in support of the new record:

Oct. 23: Austin, Tex. -- ACL Live at the Moody Theater
Nov. 22: New York, N.Y. -- Hammerstein Ballroom
Nov. 23: New York, N.Y. -- Hammerstein Ballroom

'Ryan Adams' will be available on CD and digital formats as well as vinyl via Pax Am. Get details on the release here.
