French website La Blogothèque seems to always nail it with their A Take Away Show series, in which a musician plays an intimate, stripped down set at an atypical venue. They've previously hosted Phoenix performing in a plane and Father John Misty at a Paris restaurant, but for Ryley Walker's recent turn, he played two original songs and covered Van Morrison's "Fair Play" at a small party in Paris. Watch the latter performance above.

Armed with only an acoustic guitar, Walker successfully emulates the Irish singer's mumbly cadence while covering the opening track from Morrison's 1974 album Veedon Fleece, a record that was often ignored upon release but is retrospectively seen as a classic.

Walker recently released his latest full-length effort, Primrose Green, on Dead Oceans, and the Chicago folk musician also shared a western-inspired video for "Sweet Satisfaction." He's gearing up to hit the road in May, so check out out touring schedule -- after watching him perform "Summer Dress" and "Primrose Green" for La Blogothèque -- below:
