Sigur Ros Announce New Album ‘Kveikur,’ Release Video for First Single ‘Brennisteinn’

Sigur Ros have announced a June 18 release date for 'Kveikur,' the band's seventh studio album and first worldwide release via XL Recordings. The Icelandic outfit also has issued a video for 'Brennisteinn,' the disc's first single. Check out the Andrew Huang-directed clip below.

Sigur Ros launch a North American arena tour in advance of 'Kveikur' on Saturday (March 24) in Washington, D.C., and will be on the road through an April 20 appearance at Coachella. The trek includes a March 25 show at New York City’s world-famous Madison Square Garden -- check out all the dates here. In the meantime, they're set to perform tonight (March 22) on 'Late Night With Jimmy Fallon.'
