Sigur Ros Select ‘Valtari’ Film Competition Winner

Sigur Ros have named directors Anafelle Liu, Dio Lau and Ken Ngan as the Overall Winner of the band's 'Valtari' Film Competition. The trio won for their mesmerizing clip for the tune 'Fjogur Piano,' which you can watch above. The contest acted as a feeder program of sorts for the band's "Valtari Mystery Film Experiment," whereby they gave a dozen auteurs the same modest budget and asked them to make a video for any song off their 'Valtari' album.

“[S]kinned is a restless self sculpturing of one’s body," reads the directors commentary of the video. "It is a glimpse of the corporeal unconscious, forever trapped in lacan’s double sided mirror.” We're not quite sure what all that means -- or what exactly is going on in the clip, to be honest -- but it sure is cool to look at.
