Steve Earle & the Dukes’ album, ‘Terraplane,’ is only days away from release, and in its anticipation, a third track has emerged from the upcoming LP. Take a listen to ‘Ain’t Nobody’s Daddy Now’ in the video above.

In an interview with Rolling Stone, Earle revealed that ‘Terraplane’ was largely created while he was going through a divorce, saying, “Most of this was written on the road. I went through a divorce and I needed the money, so I’ve been touring a lot, just working constantly and writing whenever I can.”

And by the sounds of it, ‘Ain’t Nobody’s Daddy Now,’ seems to be Earle celebrating his newfound freedom, as he sings, “I’m free / Ain’t nobody tying me down.”

‘Terraplane’ will land Feb. 17. ‘Ain’t Nobody’s Daddy Now’’s debut follows previous album singles, ‘You’re the Best Lover That I Ever Had’ and ‘Baby Baby Baby (Baby).’
