Although Sonic Youth are on hiatus following the divorce of singer-guitarist Thurston Moore and singer-bassist Kim Gordon, Moore is still apparently on good enough terms with his old drummer Steve Shelley to invite him to play in his new band.

It took My Bloody Valentine more than 20 years to release a follow-up album to their classic 1991 record 'Loveless,' but it looks like the wait for more new music from the band might not be as long.

L.A.’s FYF Fest is back for its 10th go-round, and this year’s weekend-long bash runs Aug. 24-25 at the Los Angeles State Historic Park. The lineup features My Bloody Valentine, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, TV on the Radio, MGMT and Beach House, plus dozens more top-name acts.

The record is available in three formats: vinyl ($30.50), CD ($22) and digital download ($16). The first two options come with instant downloads, and fans have the additional option of choosing the file type: 16bit CD-quality WAV files, 320kbps MP3 or 24bit 96 K WA
