It took My Bloody Valentine more than 20 years to release a follow-up album to their classic 1991 record 'Loveless,' but it looks like the wait for more new music from the band might not be as long.

L.A.’s FYF Fest is back for its 10th go-round, and this year’s weekend-long bash runs Aug. 24-25 at the Los Angeles State Historic Park. The lineup features My Bloody Valentine, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, TV on the Radio, MGMT and Beach House, plus dozens more top-name acts.

When it comes to talk of a new album from My Bloody Valentine, frontman Kevin Shields' persistent claims that the disc's arrival is right around the corner fall somewhere between ex-Notre Dame linebacker Manti Te'o's tales of his dead girlfriend and bicyclist Lance Armstong's claims that he never used performance-enhancing drugs. In other words, nobody believes a word he says.
