Lost & Found: Taylor Momsen’s Crumby Past
Some of you may recall, back in the mid- to late-'90s, this sweet-as-sugar TV commercial for Shake N Bake's chicken-crumbing product. The little girl shaking that bag and explaining how the stuff works is about as cute as a hundred Internet kittens. But nothing lasts forever.
Fast-forward to the present day, and that little girl is the full-grown Taylor Momsen, former Gossip Girl and the singer of a rock band called the Pretty Reckless. The pigtails are gone, along with our innocence. In case you haven't chanced upon one of the band's videos and don't know what we're talking about, check out the video below, for the 2010 single, 'My Medicine.' And yes, it is definitely NSFW.
Momsen got her big Hollywood break when she landed the role of Cindy Lou Who in 'How the Grinch Stole Christmas.' She was also one of the top three people considered for the role of Hannah Montana, but lost that one to Miley Cyrus.
Momsen and her band seem to be enjoying huge success at the moment, and they've been chugging along at it steadily since 'Gossip Girl' ended. They'll be playing Summerfest soon, which runs from the last week of June through the first week of July.
