The Dead Weather Will Release ‘Dodge and Burn’ in September
It's been over a month since the Dead Weather — Jack White, Alison Mosshart, Queens of the Stone Age's Dean Fertita and the Raconteurs' Jack Lawrence — announced their upcoming third album, Dodge and Burn, and now they've announced a release date: Sept. 25 via Third Man Records.
The album's 12 tracks will include four songs that have already been released: “Open Up (That’s Enough),” “Rough Detective,” “Buzzkill(er),” and “It’s Just Too Bad.” The bad news, which the band announced in July, is that their schedules are too packed to tour behind the album. According to a press release:
Alison Mosshart, Jack White, Dean Fertita and Jack Lawrence spent their rare and sporadic free moments over the past year recording together in Nashville. With the members of the band heavily involved in other projects, The Dead Weather will not be touring in support of the new album. Thankfully the thick and heavy Dodge and Burn will satisfy your urges for the dark magic that is The Dead Weather for a very long time.
