The Decemberists graced our television screens over the weekend (April 18) as they performed on CBS This Morning's Saturday Sessions. The Portland, Ore.-based rockers played two tracks from their latest album, What a Terrible World, What a Beautiful WorldYou can watch lead single "Make You Better" up above and the light jam, "The Wrong Year," below.

CBS This Morning delivered a reputable introduction for the Decemberists, giving a shoutout to the band's breakout 2002 debut album, Castaways and Cutouts, and calling them "refreshed."

The Colin Meloy-fronted band announced back in February that it would be adding more tour dates in support of the new disc, kicking off in May; you can check out the Decemberists' full itinerary here.

During our recent interview with Meloy, the singer-songwriter commented about the new record, "I think in some ways there is a lot of me in it. The King Is Dead is similarly personal. I think it’s a portrait of myself and my interests and fascinations over the course of five years or whatever."

What a Beautiful World, What a Terrible World is now available via Capitol Records on CD, digital and vinyl formats. You can pick up your copy at this location.
