On Saturday night (Aug. 18), the Killers headlined the V Festival in Hylands Park in Chelmsford, England with some help from the next night's headliner. The Las Vegas-based rock stars covered Oasis' 'Don't Look Back in Anger,' which was written by Noel Gallagher, whose High Flying Birds closed out Sunday.

“We’re going to celebrate one of the U.K.’s finest for a moment,” lead singer Brandon Flowers said, before performing the song with just his electric guitar. Even though the song has the same opening chords and tempo as 'Imagine' by another of the U.K.'s finest, John Lennon, the crowd picked up on the song instantly and sang along from the opening notes.

Flowers performed the first verse and a chorus of the song, omitting the second verse and its famous line, 'Please don't put your life in the hand / Of a rock n' roll band / Who'll throw it all away."

'Don't Look Back in Anger' was from Oasis' second album, '(What's the Story) Morning Glory,' which was released in 1996. It was their second No. 1 in the U.K. and reached No. 55 in the U.S.
