Following the breakout success of 2014’s Lost in the Dream -- which landed them a spot on many year-end lists, including our own -- the War on Drugs are making a major move for their highly anticipated follow-up. A major label move, to be exact.

According to Billboard, the Philly indie-rockers have signed a two-album contract with Warner Music Group’s Atlantic Records. The War on Drugs released their last three albums (2008’s Wagonwheel Blues, 2011’s Slave Ambient and Lost in the Dream) on the Bloomington, Ind.-based indie label, Secretly Canadian.

Whether or not the Adam Granduciel-fronted outfit actually has time to record their fourth full-length in the midst of extensive touring is a whole other matter entirely. Tonight (June 12), the band is scheduled to play a show in Indianapolis. They’ll wrap up their U.S. run of dates with a two-night stint at D.C.’s 9:30 Club on June 20 and 21 before heading to Europe for a series of concerts and music festivals. The band will return stateside on July 18 for appearances at Louisville’s Forecastle and Lollapalooza in Chicago. Get more details below.

Recently, the War on Drugs visited the Ellen DeGeneres Show to play Lost in the Dream's lead tracks, “Under the Pressure” and “Red Eyes.” Watch both of those performances right here.
