Last weekend, Thom Yorke made two surprise appearances at Latitude Festival in Suffolk, England. First, he joined Portishead during their encore on Saturday (July 18), performing “The Rip” from their 2008 LP, Third (check out footage above). Yorke then re-emerged the next day for his own set with Radiohead producer and Atoms for Peace’s Nigel Godrich.

Yorke and Godrich’s set was caught in a pair of fan-shot videos, which you can watch below (via Rabbit in My Headlights Tumblr). The Radiohead frontman performed a mixture of material from last year’s Tomorrow’s Modern Boxes, 2006’s The Eraser, Atom for Peace’s 2013 debut, Amok, as well as unreleased songs.

Hopefully, the unreleased cuts are a sign of a new Radiohead album. Both drummer Philip Selway and guitarist Jonny Greenwood have indicated that the band has started work on a follow-up to 2011’s The King of Limbs. Likewise, Godrich shared a photo of Yorke in the studio earlier this month.

Yorke and Godrich are also slated to perform a concert in Tokyo on Aug. 15, and Yorke was revealed as one of the performers for this year’s Pathway to Paris on Dec. 4.
