‘Walking After Midnight’ is a short film series directed by James Franco featuring shoes by designer Stuart Weitzman. The first installment has been appropriately paired with a rendition of Patsy Cline’s ‘Walkin’ After Midnight’ by Girl in a Coma.

The song is a track from the all-female band’s covers album, ‘Adventures in Coverland,’ which was released back in 2010 via Joan Jett's Blackheart Records. The group hails from San Antonio, Texas, and comprises sisters Phanie and Nina Diaz, along with their friend, Jenn Alva. Their name was inspired by the well-known Smiths song ‘Girlfriend in a Coma.’

Veterans of SXSW, the ladies made a splash earlier this year by performing ‘Smart’ – a track from their 2011 album, ‘Exits and All the Rest’ – at the Dickies House during the Austin-based festival.

Girl in a Coma have toured with such bands as Tegan and Sara, the Pogues and Social Distortion, and they're currently on the road with Minus the Bear for a series of U.S. shows. Click here for their complete tour itinerary.
