A week ago, Bat for Lashes’ Natasha Khan began teasing a forthcoming announcement with an ongoing game of Hangman posted to her Instagram. This past weekend, she completed the game, and the final post revealed something titled “Sexwitch,” with an excerpt of new music and the promise of a set at Green Man Festival in Wales later that day:

As Pitchfork reports, that set marked the debut of Sexwitch, Khan’s brand-new project with English psych-rockers TOY and producer Dan Carey. During the newly formed group’s Green Man performance, Kahn and company unveiled a handful of new songs, including “The Bride,” a track all three artists recorded for the 2012 compilation, Zendooni: Funk, Psychedelia and Pop From the Iranian Pre-Revolution Generation. Watch fan-shot videos of Sexwitch’s performance below (via Stereogum):

Carey also previously worked with Kahn on her most recent Bat for Lashes album, 2012’s The Haunted Man.
