Chris Cornell returned with his latest solo effort, Higher Truth, in Setepmber, and he sat down with director Cameron Crowe to discuss the album.

In a new clip from the interview, Cornell opens up about album track “Murderer of Blue Skies,” which the Soundgarden frontman says is part autobiographical and part fiction. “I think being a sensitive kid who grows up in the world of adult relationships, my tendency has always been to allow myself to accept responsibility for everything,” he said of the song. “In some weird, passive aggressive way, like, it’s all my fault.”

Cornell has concluded the U.S. portion of his tour behind Higher Truth and is currently playing shows across New Zealand. See a complete list of his upcoming dates right here.
