Although the Supreme Court's decision to legalize same-sex marriage throughout the U.S. brought nearly universal applause, not everyone agreed with the ruling. Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia shared his dissenting opinions on same-sex marriage and the Affordable Care Act that passed last week, prompting progressive rock outfit Coheed and Cambria to set portions of the staunch conservative's statement to music.

In this video for Funny or Die, Coheed manage to make Scalia almost sound like a poet, but frontman Claudio Sanchez also shines a spotlight on some of the slightly nonsensical bits – like when he sings, "Pure applesauce, jiggery-pokery," all with citations from Scalia's actual statement.
