For her latest album, Art Angels, Grimes (aka Claire Boucher) has created an entire fictional (under)world for her persona to dwell in. And in the video for "Kill V. Maim," Grimes and her band of riotous Art Angels are definitely left to roam free. Check it out above.

Directed by Boucher herself, the video takes place in and around a deserted subway station, in a blood-drenched rave and on an animated, video game-style joy ride through Grimes' fantasy world. It's only vaguely similar to the baroque (but also bloody) aesthetic of Boucher's previous video for "Flesh Without Blood/Life in the Vivid Dream."
