Grimes will drop her new album, Art Angels, on Friday (Nov. 6), but before then, the Canadian singer-producer has shared one final preview.

You can listen to the wonderfully titled “Laughing and Not Being Normal” at Grimes’ website. The mostly instrumental song serves as Art Angels’ lead-off track; that’s the single artwork at the bottom of the page. The new song follows the previously unveiled “Flesh Without Bood,” “Life in the Vivid Dream” and the Aristophanes-featured “Scream.”

In an interview, Grimes revealed her motivations behind her latest album are political in nature. “I’m trying to represent something politically,” she said. “That women can do technical work. That I can be a producer and pop star and also very experimental."

You can pre-order a digital copy of the 14-track Art Angels now at iTunes. You can also place orders for the LP on vinyl, CD or cassette at the 4AD website. Those will ship for a Dec. 11 arrival.

Grimes’ tour picks up tonight in New York City. She’ll wrap up the North American portion of her dates with a two-night residency at the Metro in Chicago on Nov. 24 and 25. See a complete list of stops right here.
