Last night (July 16), Wavves shared the brand-new track, "Way Too Much," from their forthcoming LP and follow-up to 2013's Afraid Of Heights. Frontman Nathan Williams has been a music-making machine this year, releasing a split EP with MNDR as Sweet Valley, as well as putting out a debut LP as Spirit Club -- and most recently releasing the Wavves collaborative album with Cloud NothingsNo Life For Me.

Here's the thing about this particular new song, though. According to a multitude of angry tweets from Williams, a few of which you can see below, Warner Bros. Records did not authorize him to release the track early and have therefore temporarily pulled the track from Spotify. In protest, Williams uploaded the track to Soundcloud with alternate artwork to avoid legal action from his label:

He ended up posting the album artwork anyway in protest:

Wavves will head out on tour this fall with Twin Peaks, kicking things off on Sept. 8 in Seattle and staying on the road through early October. Despite the drama, "Way Too Much" will supposedly be available via iTunes on Monday, July 20.
