Alabama Shakes Extend 2012 Tour

It's going to be a busy summer for Alabama Shakes. Fresh off the success of their debut album, 'Boys & Girls,' the band will continue their tour of the United States with a series of headlining dates in July and August. Tickets for all the new shows will go on sale to the general public Friday (April 27).

The new dates will begin on July 29 in Syracuse, N.Y. and continue until August 16 at the House of Blues in San Diego, Calif. This is in addition to the high-profile slots in August at Lollapalooza in Chicago and the Outside Lands Festival in San Francisco the band had previously scheduled.

Alabama Shakes are quickly becoming one of the busiest live acts in the country. They've already been on the road for much of the year and are currently touring in Europe. After their return to America they will open up for Jack White in Nashville, Asheville, New York and Detroit. Then they will play a handful of festivals, including Sasquatch, Bonnaroo and the Newport Folk Festival.
