2012 Billboard Music Awards: Adele Dominates Winners List, Yet None of Her 12 Wins Were Televised

The 2012 Billboard Music Awards show that aired on Sunday, May 20 was brimming with pop music winners and performances, but a handful of Diffuser.fm favorites also received awards -- off the air, anyway. Adele was the clear winner of the night -- she'll be getting a remarkable total of 12 trophies -- even though not a single one of her wins was announced on the televised broadcast.

Billboard is honoring Adele with major artist, song and album wins this year, but viewers would never know this from the footage shown on ABC. A long performance by Stevie Wonder seemed to phase out the expected announcement of major end-of-show awards like Top Artist (Adele's biggest win), and the night's alt-rock categories didn't make the cut, either. Coldplay, U2, Foster the People were among the other honorees whose wins did not air.
