Last month, Beach House unveiled “Sparks,” the first single from their upcoming album, Depression Cherry (due out Aug. 28 via Sup Pop). Now, the dream-pop duo have come up with a creative way to debut two more songs from the LP.

Beach House’s website now includes a “Single Finder” option on the left-hand menu. This feature allows fans to select three of their favorite songs from Beach House's catalog, and then the tool will automatically play one of three Depression Cherry songs best suited to their tastes -- either “Sparks” or two previously unheard cuts, “PPP” and “Beyond Love.”

The Baltimore-based band offered an explanation of the new website feature on their Facebook:

For us, it’s always a strange moment when a single has to be chosen. No one song ever feels like a perfect representative for a record. This device allows you to choose the 3 songs you have enjoyed most in the past and have a “single” chosen for you based loosely on what we consider to be musical similarities. enjoy.

What’s more, now anyone attending an upcoming Beach House show can have a hand in curating the setlist. The website’s new “Setlist Creator” feature allows concertgoers to suggest three songs for any of the band’s concerts. The band described that feature in another Facebook post:

While on tour, we change our setlist every night and certain songs get played only a few times per tour. This device will allow us to know if there is a large number of people wanting to hear a certain song in any one place. It’s not that we will definitely follow it, but it will certainly influence our set lists…... maybe 50 people in milwaukee want to hear a song we made 10 years ago?!?!
Choose the "setlist creator" next to the show you are going to and follow the directions there..............Thanks

Beach House’s tour kicks off on Aug. 18 in Portland, Maine. Check out a complete list of stops here.
