Guster are gearing up for the release of their seventh album, ‘Evermotion,’ their first record in four years. The Boston indie rockers recently debuted a music video for the song, ‘Long Night,’ and now they’re keeping the momentum going with a behind-the-scenes look at the recording of 'Evermotion.'

Filmmaker Ben Moon dropped in during the band’s recording sessions with producer and Shins keyboardist Richard Swift to capture the LP's making. Check out Moon’s footage in the clip above.

The guys of Guster say Swift brought a fresh, creative and “pure” perspective to the album, which at times pushed the band out of their comfort zone -- according to frontman Ryan Miller, that's a good thing.

“We didn’t come here for a really safe, sterile experience. [That] has a lot to do with maybe why we’re still a band after seven records,” Miller said in the documentary. “It’s all about constantly being a little bit scared. That’s the place to live, I think, as an artist.”

‘Evermotion’ is slated for a Jan. 13 release via Nettwerk Records.
