As Billy Corgan completes his new "Thirty Days" video project, he's been calling the radio show of Mancow Muller, a morning DJ at Chicago's WLUP. On his most recent update, he blasted the media for their handling of a leaked dossier that purported to detail compromising information that Russia has on President-elect Donald Trump.

Consequence of Sound quotes Corgan as saying, "I think it’s an important time, and I’m trying to document that as an artist. If I just filter what I read through the media, which obviously yesterday was a watershed day with the media, if I just filter what I read through the media, I’m not really in touch with the world I grew up in. I know there’s a gap there. ... I hate to make the most obvious point: If you’ve got 10 billion dollars, you’re not hiring hookers.”

Corgan singled out CNN's Anderson Cooper for an interview with Trump adviser Kellyanne Conway, where they clashed over whether or not CNN detailed the contents of the dossier in their reporting. “It’s one of the most embarrassing things I’ve ever seen from a journalist,” he continued, “especially someone at his level who understands the game. He absolutely is melting down trying to pin her down, and it’s amazing watching the mainstream American media melt down before our eyes. It’s something I thought I’d never see.”

During the 2016 Democratic National Convention, Corgan called in to right-wing conspiracy theorist Alex Jones' Infowars -- who were holding an anti-Hillary Clinton fundraiser -- to criticize the way the Democratic National Committee were ignoring the stories about the investigation into her e-mail server. "You’ve had the DNC now on for three days, and you’ve literally had for three days not one mention of the WikiLeaks hacking,” he said, “no mention of Hillary being investigated by the Justice Department. ... It’s a conscious manipulation.”
