Bob Mould brought out a classic from his Sugar days during his appearance last night (Feb. 28) on 'Late Night With Jimmy Fallon,' running through 'A Good Idea' off the band's 1992 album, 'Copper Blue.' With guitars blazing and amps cranked, Mould and his backing duo of bassist Jason Narducy and drummer Jon Wurster turned the mid-tempo indie-pop nugget into a sped-up, throttling slab of post-punk glory, ferocious in execution but still catchier than a cold. Check it out above.

Mould is currently out on a North American tour that features the trio playing the best of his Husker Du, Sugar and solo catalogs. The trek runs through an April 21 gig in Denver, Colo.
