Watch CHVRCHES’ Fantastical New Video for ‘Clearest Blue’

CHVRCHES have shared a new music video for their Every Open Eye single “Clearest Blue.”

The Warren Fu-directed clip opens with a man on the ground with a mysterious note. The video then cuts from one fantastical setting to another: Frontwoman Lauren Mayberry, dressed in armor, in the forest to the singer in the middle of a pulsating club. Of course, as a knowing license plate reading, “CLR F8,” alludes, everything falls into place by the video’s end. See how it unfolds at the top of the page.

The Glaswegian synth-pop outfit dropped their sophomore effort Every Open Eye last year. They’re currently on tour, which continues tonight (Feb. 20) in Manila. Then, they will make their way to the states for a string of shows and festival dates. CHVRCHES will share the stage with English indie-rockers Wolf Alice at a show in Oakland, Calif., and Las Vegas. They’re also slated to play this year’s Coachella, Governors Ball, Bonnaroo and Firefly music festivals. Check out their itinerary below:
