Chvrches’ sophomore effort, Every Open Eye, will arrive later this week, and before then, the Scottish synth-pop outfit stopped by BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge to perform the forthcoming album’s lead single, “Leave a Trace,” as well as a cover of Justin Bieber’s chart-topping hit, “What Do You Mean?”

You can check out the latter cover above by skipping ahead to the 2:05 mark. Watch Chvrches' performance of “Leave a Trace” at the bottom of the page, which starts at 0:50.

Every Open Eye is due out Friday (Sept. 25) via Universal following Chvrches’ 2013 debut, The Bones of What You Believe. The forthcoming LP is currently streaming in full over at NPR. You can also check out the lyric videos for “Never Ending Circles” and “Clearest Blue.”

The Lauren Mayberry-fronted crew will kick off a North American tour in support of their latest full-length this weekend when they make consecutive appearances at Boston Calling and D.C.'s Landmark Festival. They have headlining gigs planned through November, culminating with a performance at Fun Fun Fun Fest in Austin, which runs from Nov. 6-8. Get ticket information at the band’s website.
