Black Keys Frontman Dan Auerbach Releases Video for ‘King of a One Horse Town’
A video for “King of a One Horse Town,” a track off of Black Keys' frontman Dan Auerbach’s upcoming album, was released today. You can watch it above.
“The King of a One Horse Town is anyone who’s scared of the outside world," Auerbach said in a release. "Anyone who’s afraid to go beyond their own block for fear of failure. It could be a drug dealer. A drunk. A professor. That's a feeling any of us can relate to."
According to director Aaron Hymes, the video is a “day in the life” of the “King of a One Horse Town."
This is Auerbach's second video release from the album, following "Shine on Me."
The singer is set to release Waiting on a Song, his second solo album, on June 2. The album is a "love letter to Nashville," featuring contributions from all-stars like former Dire Straits guitarist Mark Knopfler, members of the Memphis Boys, Duane Eddy, who plays on "The King of a One Horse Town," and John Prine, who co-wrote seven of the 10 tracks.
It's being released on Auerbach's new label, Easy Eye Sound, named after his Nashville studio, and distributed by Nonesuch Records. Auerbach says the label will soon announce releases from other artists as well.
Auerbach released his solo debut Keep It Hid in 2009. He also formed the Arcs, and released Yours, Dreamily in 2016.
