Fiona Apple was arrested yesterday (Sept. 19) during a border crossing in Sierra Blanca, Texas, after being found is possession of hash, TMZ reports. The singer was reportedly taken into custody after authorities found the purified form of marijuana on her tour bus, and she's currently being held at Hudspeth County Jail on charges of possession.

Apple is currently on tour, and having last played on Tuesday in Mesa, Ariz., she's scheduled to perform tonight in Austin, Texas, as part of Austin City Limits Live. There's no word yet on the fate of tonight's concert or the remainder of Apple's U.S. fall tour, which is scheduled through an Oct. 21 gig in Pittsburgh, Pa.

TMZ reports that Sierra Blanca, Texas, has been the site of several celebrity drug busts, including previous incidents involving Willie Nelson, Snoop Dogg and Armie Hammer. Stay tuned for more, as this story is still developing.
