Foals performed a live session for BBC Radio 1 at Maida Vale studios in London on Tuesday (July 21), and they gave the debut performance of a previously unheard track from their upcoming album, What Went Down. Listen to "A Knife In The Ocean" here, via BBC; Foals' set starts at 1:30:00, while "A Knife In The Ocean" begins at 1:42:00.

Frontman Yannis Philippakis got adventurous during the set and climbed into the balcony and leaped from it:

Philippakis had previously described "A Knife In the Ocean" as "the perfect closer to the record" and also said that "It captures the essence of what the band is trying to do."

Foals have already shared studio versions of the upcoming album's title track and "Mountain At My Gates." What Went Down, the follow-up to the group's 2013 album Holy Fire, comes out on Aug. 28 and is currently available for pre-order at the band's website.
