As we’ve previously learned, Ryan Adams is working on an album of Taylor Swift covers featuring every song from the pop superstar’s tour de force, last year's 1989. Along the way, Adams has shared every step of the process on his social media accounts, which most recently includes his takes on two of 1989’s massive hits: “Bad Blood” and “Shake It Off.” Listen to excerpts below:

In a tweet, Adams writes that his “Bad Blood” cover features him “playin a chimney coda” and that it will "sound so good w strings.” And just as he already promised, his version of “Shake It Off” does in fact sound quite spooky.

Adams has already shared clips of “Welcome to New York,” “All You Had to Do Was Stay” and “Out of the Woods.” He also unveiled what could be the forthcoming album’s awesome Sonic Youth-inspired cover art.

At the same time the singer announced his Taylor Swift covers project, he also revealed his plans to record prequels and followups to his 1984 7", which arrived last year as a part of his ongoing Pax-Am series. His latest Pax-Am single, “Willow Lane,” is due out Aug. 21.
