We’ve already heard two cuts – the title track and ‘False Hope’ – from Laura Marling’s upcoming album, ‘Short Movie,’ and last week, the folk singer-songwriter continued to showcase the LP during a show at London’s Silver Bullet.

During the set, Marling played ‘Short Movie’’s fifth track, ‘Strange,’ which saw the English songstress fiercely plucking her trusted acoustic guitar while accompanied by upright bass and fiddle. Although the forthcoming album will feature Marling transitioning more to electric guitar, ‘Strange’’s forthright lyrics and steadfast folk sensibilities show she hasn’t traveled too far from the sound that has become her signature.

‘Short Movie’ will arrive on March 24 in the U.S., serving as the follow-up to her 2013 album, ‘Once I Was an Eagle.’
