Listen to Metric’s New Electro-Pop Single, ‘The Shade’

Toronto-based indie pop rockers Metric recently broke through in a major way by teaming up with celebrated icons Imagine Dragons for a major U.S. tour. It wasn't too long ago that they were discussing plans for a new album, and now you can get a taste of the upcoming material with the LP's first single, the golden, electro-pop track, "The Shade" -- check it out above

Besides a demo that the band released back in December last year, this new song serves as the band's first official new material since 2012's Synthetica.

The tune builds off of their successful pervious work, with a cleaner studio edge and Emily Haines' vocals chanting “I want it all” during the chorus; Haines complements the highly electro vibe of the song. Metric have promised that they will elaborate on that sound throughout the impending full-length LP, set for release later this year.
