An hour-long demo tape from Kurt Cobain's pre-Nirvana band, Fecal Matter, found its way online a few weeks ago, and yesterday (Aug. 23), a new previously unheard recording has surfaced, this time from Nirvana themselves. The track, called "E-Coli," is a noisy, relatively unstructured jam with unintelligible vocals that comes off as more off a soundcheck recording than a completed song. Listen to the audio below.

Beyond this, there is more previously unheard Nirvana-related music that has recently been released or is no the way. A bunch of tracks from the sessions for Nevermind and In Utero were shared earlier this month, as well as the new Cobain track that played over the end credits of Montage of Heck. It was also announced that a Kurt Cobain solo album is slated for release on Nov. 6 via Universal Music, and will feature music included in the documentary, home recordings and a “sketch comedy routine.”
